Welcome
The coaches corner is just that... A corner of our website dedicated to all the coaches who volunteer their time and energy to our program. We want you to succeed in your efforts to teach the game of fastpitch softball to your players. The information referenced in the coaches corner is here to aid you in developing fastpitch players.  Please, let us know if you would like any additional material included on this site.

Clinics
All coaches must attend our coaching clinics. We will give you some help in setting up practices, understanding the rules, and learning more about pitching and hitting techniques. Check the website for more information on the dates and locations of our next clinic.

Coaching Videos Available
The association has purchased several coaching videos that are available to any coach involved in either in-house or travel coaching. There will be a required $30.00 deposit for each video. This deposit may be in the form of a personal check, which will
be returned to the owner when the video is delivered back to the Board. Just send an email via the website to arrange for video checkout.

If there is a specific topic that you need and it is not covered, please let us know.  Also, if you know of a training video that may be of help, advise the Board via the website, and we will look into purchasing it. When you do borrow a video, please keep in mind that there may be other coaches waiting for it. Keeping the videos available as often as possible will only help all of us build a stronger softball program for the area.

Hitting...The Fastpitch Way
One of the greatest misconception regarding the fastpitch swing is that it is the same as a baseball swing.  The good fastpitch swing is different than a baseball swing. Invest some time in understanding the difference.

A great way to keep players excited about coming to practice is to change what you do from one day to the next.  Remember, it is important to keep all players active at all times during practice.  Your practice time is valuable, don't waste it.
